Read the complete front declaration

The selected Savannah Bee image states NET WT12 OZ(340 g). Bonne Maman's current US front image states net weight 13 oz(370 g), and Stonewall's selected front image states 354 g(12.5 oz). These are mass declarations. Honey may pour, but that does not turn its ounce statement into fluid ounces. A jar's outside capacity is also a different field from the net amount of food supplied inside it.

Do not assume a density

The site does not convert honey, jam or preserves from grams to milliliters using a water-density assumption. It also does not treat the same physical jar shape as proof of equal contents. The supported price comparison can use declared net-weight ounces or the separately declared grams. An unsupported fluid-ounce request stays unknown rather than producing a precise-looking number from an unverified relationship.

Preserve the paired numbers

The labels supply rounded paired declarations. Bonne Maman's 13 oz/370 g is retained as printed rather than being replaced with a mathematically converted 368.5 g. The same principle applies to 354 g/12.5 oz and 340 g/12 oz. These are source declarations, not fill measurements by Jar & Field. A calculation using one basis should name that basis so a small rounding difference is not mistaken for an actual discrepancy in measured contents.

Use the right denominator at checkout

For example, the selected $18 honey offer divided by 12 declared net-weight ounces is $1.50 per ounce of net mass. It is not $1.50 per fluid ounce or per serving. A price per gram uses the declared 340 g instead. Keep the exact unit in the purchase record, and check whether another listing is for one jar or a case before comparing its number with this single-jar offer.

Do not use shipping weight as edible contents

Target lists an estimated shipping weight for the selected preserves. That includes a different purchasing context from the net food declaration and must not replace 370 g or 13 oz in a unit-price calculation. Glass, cap and packing material are not additional edible product. A larger shipping weight can therefore coexist with the smaller net weight without indicating extra preserves. Keep both fields labeled if they are needed for a delivery question. The tool uses declared net food mass only, and it does not estimate a shipping charge or food density from a parcel dimension.
