Read the selected product family's guidance
Bonne Maman's FAQ describes a quality period for preserves and jellies from production and refers buyers to the Best if used by marking on the cap. It separately recommends refrigeration after opening. The site does not treat the unopened period as a fresh period beginning on the day a jar is opened. Those are different conditions, and the current actual jar's marking should remain visible in the purchasing record.
Do not invent an exact opened-jar deadline
The maker explicitly says it does not guarantee a specified period after opening. Its general several-weeks wording is not converted here to a fixed number of days or an automatic safety timer. Jar & Field has not tested a jar in a refrigerator, evaluated handling practices or measured spoilage. A calendar illustration is not evidence of a validated storage experiment.
Do not copy chocolate-spread instructions
The same FAQ contains separate guidance for hazelnut chocolate spread, including a different refrigeration statement. That product is not the selected Strawberry Preserves. A broad spreads category does not make the two instructions interchangeable. The selected blueberry jam's handling field also stays unresolved where its exact current maker label has not been verified; another Stonewall flavor's statement is not borrowed to fill the gap.
Use dates as actual package information
Before buying a large quantity, ask the seller about current stock and any date information important to the order. Do not assume every jar carries a full production-based period remaining at delivery. The whole-jar tool does not forecast consumption before a date or recommend a personal amount to keep. It can meet a user-chosen count while leaving storage suitability to the actual current label and relevant maker information.
A production-based period is not remaining life at delivery
Even when a maker states a quality period from production, a current seller may be offering stock produced earlier. A buyer should not assume that the full period remains on arrival. If date information is important to a large order, ask about the actual stock and retain the delivered marking. The website does not create a remaining-days calculation from the general FAQ, and it does not extend a date because a jar is unopened or refrigerated. It records the selected maker guidance and leaves actual package dates to the real product.
