Choose a count rather than a use forecast
The stock tool asks the user to choose a target in complete jars of the selected exact product. It does not recommend how many jars a household should keep, how much to eat or how long stock will last. The selected offers each contain one jar, but their net masses and food types differ. A honey jar is not automatically equivalent stock for a strawberry-preserves requirement.
Subtract actual matching stock
If a user chooses a target of five selected 13 oz preserves jars and already holds two usable matching jars, three additional single-jar packs meet the chosen target. This is a quantity example, not a consumption or nutrition recommendation. A mini jar, a different flavor or an unverified case is not counted as the same unit by the tool. The user is responsible for the actual matching-stock count.
Keep surplus and zero purchases visible
If held matching stock already meets or exceeds the chosen target, the tool returns zero new packs. Blank, negative, fractional and excessive counts remain unresolved. No purchase is forced to reach a shipping threshold or use a coupon. If an actual reviewed offer later contains multiple jars, its contents would need to be updated before applying whole-pack rounding. The present tool does not invent a split case or multipack discount.
Review the buying conditions separately
A mathematical target result does not confirm availability, a date code, shipping suitability or an individual's diet. The honey's conflicting stock signals remain visible even when its jar count is valid. Recheck the actual selected seller and label before ordering. Inputs remain in the browser; no pantry inventory, names, addresses or health details are transmitted to a merchant.
A target should reflect the same product throughout
If the chosen target is for 13 ozStrawberry Preserves, the held-stock input should not include mini jars, another flavor or an opened jar the user no longer considers usable. That is a stock-definition decision the user must make before entering the count. The tool does not inspect condition or replace a personal inventory process. It also does not sum unlike jar masses to decide that a honey jar satisfies a preserves shortage. Keeping the exact item fixed makes the arithmetic reviewable and prevents a simple count result from implying a nutritional or culinary equivalence.
